Report Damaged Items

Important Tips for Receiving Your Order

  1. Count your cartons and sign only for those received. If you experience a shortage, please contact us immediately for resolution.

  2. Immediately inspect for external and internal/concealed damage. If you notice damage, keep the merchandise and original cartons and contact us within 10 days. (After 10 days, carriers no longer accept claims.)

  3. Be careful not to discard smaller items along with packing material

  4. Contact Us immediately to notify us of any order discrepancies.

How Do I Report Damaged Items?

Use our fast, convenient Order Tracking feature online to locate your order and report a damaged item.

To use this feature, please have your order number or customer purchase order number available. Other search options include cart number (for orders created online at store.schoolspecialty.com), quote number and first and last name (available for Individual/Personal accounts only).

Once you have located the order, select the item(s) and quantity that is damaged and submit your request. One of our friendly Customer Care advocates will respond to your request within one business day.

How Do I Report a Defective Item?

Use our fast, convenient Order Tracking feature online to locate your order, and report a defective item.

To use this feature, please have your order number or customer purchase order number available. Other search options include cart number (for orders created online at store.schoolspecialty.com), quote number and First and Last Name (available for Individual/Personal accounts only).

Once you have located the order, select the item(s) and quantity that are defective and submit your request. One of our friendly Customer Care advocates will respond to your request within one business day.

Defective Items

If the item you received is not working properly, please check the product manual for basic troubleshooting steps. If there is no manual, or if you need additional troubleshooting assistance, please Contact Us.  One of our friendly Customer Care advocates will review your request and respond within one business day.
